Ying Wa boys and the girls from True Light Girls’ College won the Gold Award in the Secondary School Senior Division Group B in the Hong Kong Inter-School Choral Festival (HKICF) 2024. Students, teachers and conductors spared no effort during practices, so as to perform well on stage at Sha Tin Town Hall Auditorium on 7th February. At the end of the competition, there was a thanksgiving section, so that students expressed their gratitude to their teachers and conductors.

Congratulations to Chen Man Hei (5A), representing Hong Kong in the 2024 Bahrain Manama Asian Youth Fencing Championship, for winning two bronze medals! Chen Man Hei advanced to the knockout stage with a total ranking of 12 in the group stage. He then won three consecutive matches to reach the semifinals, ultimately clinching a bronze medal with a score of 12:15. Chen Man Hei later competed as the team with his teammates. They emerged victorious against Jordan and Chinese Taipei in the round of 16, securing a spot in the semifinals and adding another bronze medal to Hong Kong's tally. We look forward to Chen Man Hei continuing to bring glory to our college and Hong Kong in future competitions.

Congratulations to our boys for winning the First Place and Third Place in the Junior Varsity Division at History Bee 2024 and International History Bowl 2024 Hong Kong Winter History Bowl respectively! On 3rd February, our students competed in the 3 preliminary round matches at Canadian International School of Hong Kong. Demonstrating their comprehensive knowledge and quick thinking, our boys astutely answered every tossup question, emerging as the top students and securing their rightful place in the playoff rounds. Amidst fierce competition, their unwavering focus propelled them to soar to new heights.

Our College has established a valuable partnership with the Asian Fitness Therapy Center (AFTC) and the Asian Academy for Sports and Fitness Professionals (AASFP) to offer professional support to our students. AFTC and AASFP serve as our Physio Partner and Fitness Advisor respectively, assisting us in providing comprehensive career exploration and life planning opportunities. AFTC and AASFP offer a range of fitness programmes and sports-related educational initiatives conducted within our college. These initiatives provide our students with immersive experiences in the fitness industry. Through activities such as workplace visits, workshops, informative talks, and job shadowing opportunities, our students gain exposure to various aspects of the industries in fitness and physio therapy.
