Ying Wa Scholarships for Excellence

Ying Wa students with outstanding performance in academic results, art, music, sports and other areas may be nominated for this Scholarships. Students’ academic results and conduct will be taken into consideration. The Student Welfare Committee will make the final decision on the approval of applications. The scholarship will be awarded to the successful students in September or October next year.

 

Ying Wa College Bicentennial Scholarship

Ying Wa College is dedicated to the provision of quality education to all. We believe that no one should be deprived of the opportunity to study in Ying Wa due to financial reasons. In the year of celebrating the 200th anniversary, the Ying Wa College Bicentennial Scholarship has been set up since the academic year of 2019-2020 in order to continue to support students with high achievement but financial needs.

 

The target beneficiaries are all new S1 students who are in receipt of the CSSA, or full/ half grant provided by the SFAA in their Primary 6.  Application is open to all S1 students who are newly admitted to the Ying Wa family during the enrolment period in March every year. Applicants should possess excellent academic result (top 5% in academic ranking in primary school) and have good conduct with grade B (Very Good) or above. Each awardee will be awarded the same amount of scholarship in the following years of studies until his S6 graduation if he can maintain good academic performance (top 20%) and good conduct with grade B (Very Good) or above every year.

 

 

Ying Wa Old Boys" Association Education Fund – School-based Fund for Cross Boundary Learning Activities

The objective of the Fund is to subsidise students from low-income families to participate in cross-boundary learning activities, so as to widen their horizons and enrich learning experiences.   

 

The target beneficiaries are S1 to S6 students who are in receipt of the CSSA, or full/ half grant provided by the SFAA. Students who meet the "financially needy" criteria as determined by individual schools are also eligible. Every eligible student can apply once in each academic stage (S1 - S3 and S4 - S6).

 

Completed forms should be returned through the Teacher-in-charge of the cross-boundary learning activities to the Student Welfare Committee for approval.

Allan Cheng Scholarship

Ying Wa College is dedicated to providing quality education to all students. We believe that no one should be deprived of the opportunity to study at Ying Wa College due to financial constraints. This scholarship, generously donated by the Lu"s Foundation Limited in honour of Mr. Cheng Kwun Kit, Allan, the 18th Principal of Ying Wa College, aims to support students with financial needs by providing resources for their local and overseas learning activities. It is a subsidy in addition to the “Ying Wa Old Boys’ Association Education Fund – School-based Fund for Cross Boundary Learning Activities”.

 

 

Students who have a change in their financial situation and require financial support may seek help from the College Office during office hours on 2336 8838.
